Avi Niger is a greenfield poultry project, located in Niamey, Niger. Their main output is eggs, which are sold to distributors and hotels in Niamey. Next to this poultry activity, there is some small income from animal feed production, manufactured in their own installations.

Technical Assistance

The goal of the Technical Assistance is to hire a technical expert as technical director for 2 years. His objectives are two-fold:

  1. Achieve the production standards of a modern poultry farm respecting biosecurity, quality, safety and environment standards; and
  2. Knowledge transfer on all different aspects to AviNiger coordinators and staff

Expected impact

  • The productivity of the farm and reliable health programs for the animals;
  • The productivity of the feed mill and an optimal balance between nutrition values and cost price;
  • The maintenance of equipment, setting up a dedicated schedule;
  • The biosecurity situation operating with strict and severe procedures to reduce the risk of diseases at a very low level;
  • Have a fully trained and skilled successor (team) to take over all responsibilities;
