Development impacts
-
Local economic growth
The Fund will provide financing to FinTech companies, struggling to attract local financing. Many of these FinTechs are FIs that on lend to the local economy (digital MSME lenders, digital MSME asset financers, digital marketplaces).
Indirectly, those investees provide funding to MSMEs
-
Financial inclusion
The Fund’s investments in FinTechs will improve the population’s access to financial services, providing access to credit to micro-entrepreneurs, inclusive payment services, and renewable energy products
-
Promotion of ESG best practices
BIO is the shaping force behind the fund's E&S policy and building an ESMS.
BIO's investment contributes to directing Lendable to more responsible investees (especially in consumer lending and the application of customer protection standards)
