The Social Performance Task Force (SPTF), based in the USA and in Luxembourg and CERISE, based in France, are global, non-profit organizations working toward a shared vision: a transparent, responsible, and inclusive financial sector that achieves positive outcomes for low-income people. They believe social impact is not automatically achieved by all pro-poor financial institutions. In fact, achieving positive outcomes for clients requires careful and balanced management. Their goal is to show the financial industry how to manage social performance, and they have developed a range of tools and approaches (SPI4, Alinus, CPP, smartcampaign, …) to help purpose-driven financial service providers (FSPs) put their social mission into practice.

Technical Assistance

The objective of the TA is to update and develop an SPI online platform that provides tools and resources to help mission-driven organizations (currently mostly Financial Service Providers and investors) achieve their environmental and social goals.

Expected impact

  • Provide social audit tool for global assessment, reporting and for due-diligence to the 1400+ users of the platform
  • Integrate updated USSPM (Universal Standards for Social Performance Management) 3.0
  • Provide new modules and dashboards for ESG/SFDR (Sustainable Finance Disclosure Regulation) reporting
  • Provide investors and networks with portfolio level information and increase audit sharing/viewing possibilities
  • Prepare the technical structure/base for new tools and functionalities (ressource center, Financial Service Providers directory, content sharing…)
