The evacuation of said power will be done via the project’s own substation and will be connected to the 138 kV high voltage line which is crossing the land of the PV site. The Project will be fully owned by a Joint Venture between F&S Solar Concept (F&S) and Blue Elephant Energy (BEE).
Montecristi will be the largest PV project to date in the Caribbean and the second sizeable PV project in the Dominican Republic.

Fight against climate change
Montecristi avoids local emissions usually attached to conventional energy (mainly combustion products, polluted affluent and heated natural water resources). Montecristi will save up 46.200 tons of CO2 equivalent per year.
