Excelsior Capital Vietnam Partners II
Excelsior Capital Vietnam Fund II will target a fund size of USD 200M, and will invest mainly through equity or equity-linked tickets of USD 8M to USD 25M in SMEs, targeting a fund portfolio of 10-12 investments in the consumer, healthcare, technology, education and logistics sectors, focusing on companies with potential for market leadership in their respective sectors.
The fund will be managed by Excelsior Capital Vietnam, which is also managing Excelsior Capital Vietnam Partners I, in which BIO is also an investor.

Providing capital and supporting the growth of 10-12 established businesses, with a focus on SMEs (min. 50%) and priority interest for Manufacturing, Retail, Healthcare, Technology and Education sectors.

Supporting one of the very few local PE players currently providing long-term financing to SMEs in Vietnam. Excelsior's investment structuring approach mostly through convertible loans is quite unique and innovative in the Vietnamese market.

Promotion of ESG best practices
Structured Fund Manager in terms of E&S assessment and management, with adequate internal capacity and specific E&S assessment procedure, fully integrated in the investment process. Excelsior systematically drafts an E&S Action Plan with time-bound items, for each of its investee companies.
E&S Impact
The fund manager has a comprehensive ESMS including standalone policies on E&S, gender and climate. It will not invest in High-risk projects. The E&S Manager and E&S officer of the fund are knowledgeable and have established a good communication with the fund’s investors. The fund’s E&S practice is aligned to the EDFI Harmonized Standards and its implementation has been judged as satisfactory by BIO.
