BIO first invested in Bancop in 2014 shortly after its creation in 2012. Since then, the bank achieved to position itself clearly in its target market, with a loan portfolio of USD 370 M, and serving about 15,000 clients.
Bancop acts as a universal bank with a strong focus on financing agricultural and livestock activities (representing >60% of the country’s exports). Since its creation in 2012, the company has demonstrated solid growth and resilience together with conservative risk management.
