We support both on-grid and off-grid projects, providing tailor-made solutions to fit the needs of each client and ensuring that social and environmental standards are met. Beyond capital and debt, BIO offers grants for feasibility and technical studies.

All projects must be executed in good cooperation with the local communities and must comply with high environmental and social standards.

On sizable projects, BIO works in collaboration with other financing parties in a follow-the-lead approach. For projects below 20 MW, BIO can finance up to 80% of the project costs and the entirety of the debt.
