Going to the museum

Private bus

BIO has organised two buses to take you to the Royal Museum of Central Africa.

THE BUS LEAVES AT 8.30 FROM PLACE DES PALAIS.

Please be there on time!

Taxis

If you were to miss the bus, you can of course also take a taxi, either via local taxi companies such as Taxi Vert (+32 2 349 49 49) or via online platforms such as Uber and Bolt that are active in the city.

Please consider that from BIO’s office to the Africa Museum the journey is 16km, which depending on traffic, can represent between 20 and 45 minutes.

Public transport

Unfortunately, the charming tram passing through the woods to arrive at the Museum is still out of service. However, there is a substitute bus (T44) to be taken from terminus (Montgomery) to terminus (Tervuren Station) that will cover the same journey and will bring you next to the Museum in 20 to 40 minutes.

To get to Montgomery from the Place des Palais, you can take the Metro line 1 (Stockel) from metro station or Parc (for 5 stops).

Leaving the museum

BIO has organised two buses that will leave the Museum at 10pm and 10.30pm (each with a capacity of 50 people) and that will bring us back to the Place des Palais.
