Alterfin is a co-operative company which aims to contribute to the development of local financial networks in the South that are oriented towards opportunity-poor or oppressed groups in society.

Alterfin invests in microcredit institutions and associations of fair trade producers in Africa, Asia and Latin America. These organizations for their part grant credits to tens of thousands of small farmers and entrepreneurs in the South.
